When are the people of Illinois going to wake up and put the blame on the state of our state where it belongs? It does not reside with Governor Rauner. It goes back well before his term in office. It goes back before former Gov. Quinn and even before Blagovich. It goes back before even before Gov. James Thompson who did everything in his power to move the state capitol to Chicago.
It comes from the power brokers in Chicago who have run our state and run it into the ground to satisfy their own greed and hunger for power. Until the Chicago mob is broken up and taken out of power Illinois will continue to decline.
No governor will be able to help fix this state until term limits are instituted that will break the power of the Chicago mob. I like some of what our current governor is trying to do but the Chicago Democrats will not allow anything to reach his desk that will break the hold they have on Illinois. We have to make cuts in some programs and stop raising taxes. I hate to see some of these cuts myself but there is no sane alternative. We are being driven to poverty by our high taxes and we are losing too many companies because they can go to other states and pay much less.
Give up the partisan way of doing things and let's use some common sense to get the State of Illinois back on track.
