DECATUR -- Herald Wayne "Ted" Cooper, II, 75 passed away on November 3, 2017 in Southport, North Carolina. Ted was born September 2, 1942, the son of Herald and Maxine Cooper. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and retired from Caterpillar in Decatur after 35 years. Ted loved golf, and had worked for the Decatur Park District as a ranger at their golf courses. He had a home in Tavares, Florida where he was a loyal customer and a member of the Breakfast Club at Highway 441 Diner. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Nichole Harding and husband Brandon, a granddaughter Morgan Tipton all of Southport, North Carolina; a brother John Cooper and wife Cheryl; and a sister Michaline Cooper. The family had a private memorial service at their home. The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Liberty Hospice, 1120 Ocean Hwy W, Supply, NC 28462.
