DECATUR -- A Decatur man was held up and robbed Monday morning while working on his car.

Written police reports said the 35-year-old victim was bent over the hood working on the engine in the 1100 block of East Clay Street when he felt something pressed against his back and a male suspect demanded money. The victim assumed he was being threatened with a gun and handed over a quantity of cash before the robber ran away.

The suspect is described as black, 6 feet tall, medium build, wearing light-colored jeans with the hood of a black sweatshirt pulled up over his head.
