DECATUR — Police are investigating the death of a 3-month-old infant found unresponsive early Monday morning in Decatur.

In a statement, police said patrol officers and emergency workers went at 1:20 a.m. to an address in the 3200 block of Condor Drive on a report of an infant not breathing. They found the baby unresponsive. The infant was taken to Decatur Memorial Hospital and pronounced dead.

Police said the cause of death is unknown at this time, and an autopsy will be scheduled.

The police department said it did not have any additional information.
