DECATUR - A Decatur man allegedly stole property worth more than $3,400 belonging to the family he was living with, Decatur police said.
The 28-year-old suspect told detectives he “needed the money” when he sold numerous stolen items to a pawn shop and another store.
He was arrested Sunday and police noted that, after he had been interviewed on an earlier occasion, a “large amount of stolen property” was returned to the family.
The suspect remained jailed Monday in lieu of posting $2,000 bond.
He is due in court July 2.
