DECATUR — A 42-year-old Decatur man was charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse for allegedly fondling a girl at his home when she was about 13 years old.

The alleged victim, now 19 and living in a different state, was interviewed at a county sexual abuse center for children and youths July 26.

She told a forensic interviewer that between 2005 and 2009, she was fondled by Rob L. DeJaynes during two incidents that occurred at his Decatur home.

During the first incident, the victim was sitting in a computer room when DeJaynes “walked up behind her and started massaging her shoulders,” said an affidavit by Decatur police detective Todd Koester. DeJaynes then massaged the victim’s breasts, under her tank top.

A few months later, the girl returned to the DeJaynes home and sat on his lap in his living room. He put his hand on her thighs and reached “toward her panty line,” but she resisted him by squeezing her legs shut, according to the affidavit. He touched her panties, the victim told the interviewer.

When DeJaynes was interviewed by Decatur police Wednesday, he admitted that he “grabbed (the victim’s) breasts,” the affidavit said. DeJaynes said that occurred in the fall of 2009 or 2010.

DeJaynes told police that on another date, he had the girl “sit on his lap while he bounced her up and down as if she was riding a horse.”

DeJaynes was booked into the Macon County Jail and released after posting $2,000 cash bail. On Friday, he was charged in circuit court with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, victim 13 to 17 years old. DeJaynes is due in court for his arraignment Sept. 3.|(217) 421-6985
