I'm writing to encourage everyone in our community to re-elect Rodney Davis as U.S. Representative of the 13th Congressional District of Illinois.
Rodney graduated from Millikin University and presently resides in Taylorville with his wife and three children. He has 16 years experience in government under John Shimkis, helping Illinois citizens and communities cut through red tape and secure financial funding, and is serving his third term in Congress.
Rodney has established himself as an effective lawmaker who is able to work with his colleagues on both sides of the aisle to pass legislation.
Rodney, for the 115th Congress, serves on the House Committee on Agriculture, the House Committee on Transportation & Infrastructure and the House Administration Committee.
Rodney's work on the Farm Bill helped Congress produce a five-year bill that provides certainty to our farmers, strengthens crop insurance and cuts $23 billion in spending. Rodney led the way to ensure farmers, who understand agriculture better than anyone, have a seat at the table when the EPA creates new rules and regulations impacting the agriculture industry.
Rodney has demonstrated his ability to lead even in a divided government. I believe the best person to fill Rodney's seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in Rodney Davis. I believe in the old adage "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
