I have known Tony "Chubby" Brown for many years from a distance and in recent years I have witnessed his actions and demeanor in closer contact.
In my consideration of whom to vote for in the sheriff of Macon County bid, my decision hinged on three criteria. Using criteria is not a stranger to me since I used criteria diligently when assessing my own teaching skills in pursuit of being an effective teacher.
I carefully examined Lt. Brown's leadership skills, his ability to work with people from all walks of life, including those living in urban, suburban or rural communities, and his demonstration of bravery, compassion and courage.
Lt. Brown has met the criteria that I use in selecting a candidate that deserves my vote. He knows how to relate to the youth, as well as to people, like me, senior citizens.
He has demonstrated his leadership abilities in numerous ways, including addressing issues and seeking resolves. He has a positive presence through Macon County. I have no need to conjecture about Tony "Chubby" Brown. My confidence in him is high, and he can count on my vote.
