The Inner Circle Club was formed in 1979 to recognize outstanding life producers for the company. Edgecombe is a 10 consecutive year, lifetime member of the Inner Circle Club.

Edgecombe is the owner of Decatur Mutual Insurance Agency in Decatur. His sister, Marla Wright, also is an owner of the agency. The agency dates back to 1893 and was appointed by Pekin Insurance in 1955.

Edgecombe has been an active member of the Pekin Insurance awards programs. In addition to his lifetime membership in the Inner Circle Club, he has earned 10 consecutive Gold Key Awards. The agency has earned 13 Underwriter of Merit Awards and five Full Circle Awards.

By embodying the best qualities of a successful insurance agency in 2004, the agency was presented with Pekin Insurance's highest award, the Robert T. Tebben Agency of the Year Award.
