Macon Speedway officials were forced to pull the plug on the July 9 running of the Herald & Review 100, due to wet grounds.

The 35th running of the Herald & Review 100 is rescheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 26.

Despite a dry forecast for today, the huge amounts of rainfall throughout Central Illinois on Wednesday caused a number of county flood warnings and wet conditions at Macon Speedway.

Track promoter Bob Sargent said, "Had we not had the rain overnight, I think we would've been okay. When I saw it raining at 2:30 in the morning, I knew we were in trouble."
