PANA – Matt Beavers, president and CEO of First National Bank of Pana, is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew P. Chiligiris as a bank director.
An attorney and local business owner, Chiligiris will join the board of the First National Bank of Pana, the parent company of the First National Bank of Decatur, the First National Bank on Spresser in Taylorville and the Bank of Blue Mound.
The First National Bank of Decatur recently opened a branch at 1688 S. Baltimore Ave., on the corner of Baltimore Road and Route 36, formerly occupied by First Mid Illinois Bank & Trust. The First National Bank of Pana also has a branch in Assumption.
Chiligiris, the owner of Macon County Title Company and several other businesses in the Decatur area, says he is honored by the appointment and looks forward to working in his capacity to assist First National Bank of Pana in achieving their goals.
"In every one of our dealings with First National Bank of Pana, I've found them to be extremely competent. I believe they do a great job of serving not only the residents and businesses of Pana, but all the folks in the communities they operate in. They truly exhibit a 'small-town bank' feel which will serve them well in this era of bank mergers", Chiligiris says.
Chiligiris is the son of Dr. George and Martha Chiligiris and a graduate of St. Teresa High School, the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana and St. Louis University School-of-Law. Macon County Title Company conducts the majority of land transactions in Macon County, including many loan closings, according to statistics on documents recorded in the Macon County Illinois Recorder's office.
