Renovation is underway for the new Mount Zion Vision Source, which will take the spot formerly occupied by Sav-Mor Pharmacy at 1410 E. Village Parkway in Mount Zion. It is expected to open at the beginning of the year. A tenant is still being sought for the space that housed a Decatur Memorial Hospital walk-in clinic.

The former Sav-Mor Pharmacy building in Mount Zion is getting a new, but familiar, tenant.

Dr. Tim Busey will be the primary eye doctor at the new Mount Zion Vision Source.

Remodeling is underway on the building at 1410 E. Village Parkway and the plan is to have the full-service vision center open at the beginning of the year, said Adam Moore, chief operations officer for the companies that operate existing Vision Source centers in Decatur, Effingham, Pana and Taylorville.

“We've been looking to get Dr. Tim back in Mount Zion for a long time,” Moore said.

Striglos Business Solutions Center open in downtown Decatur

Busey, who used to work at Temmen Advanced Eye Care in Mount Zion, is one of two doctors at Vision Source Macon County in Decatur.

Moore said the new vision center will take up the space vacated by the pharmacy. The group is still looking for a tenant for the space that housed a Decatur Memorial Hospital walk-in clinic.

👀 What's that? New construction, remodeling, new businesses
