Diabetes Support Group

FREE A group for anyone in the community who needs help and support with their diabetes. Click Register Now or call the DMH Diabetes Education Center at 217-876-2699 for more information. 

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear educational presentations, gather information on a variety of topics related to diabetes and meet others who are also learning how to live with diabetes. Knowledge and support play a vital role in controlling diabetes. Topics include general diabetes information, acute and chronic complications, exercise, nutrition and sexuality, coping skills and problem solving.

The DMH Diabetes Education Program is accredited by the American Diabetes Association. 

DMH Diabetes Support group meet every third Wednesday of the month from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., starting March 21 at DMH Family Medicine, 4775 E. Maryland St., Decatur.

You can also visit our daytime support group every third Wednesday from 11 a.m. to Noon at the DMH Diabetes Education Center.
