Celebration 'heroes' do it for the kids

A group of superheros traveled around the Decatur Celebration to entertain children and provide a few smiles.

“It’s been a busy day,” said performer Jennifer Wempen said.  “(There’s been) lots of smiles, lots of pictures, lots of dropped jaws.”

Heroes of Legends Cosplay is a group of local people who dress up as various superheroes including Spider-Man and Thor. They attend different events around town and perform for children.

The group was started over a year ago by Wes Krall, of Warrensburg.

“We do it for the kids,” Clint Moore said, but said the performers have fun as well.
