First team

Addison Newbon (So., F), St. Teresa

Newbon emerged as a sophomore under new Bulldogs coach Andrea Dorsey, leading balanced St. Teresa to a regional title with 13.4 points on 45 percent shooting and 9.1 rebounds. Newbon was at her best against ranked opponents, with big games against Bloomington Central Catholic, Danville Schlarman and Sullivan.

Jayda Dees (Sr., G), MacArthur

This is Dees’ second straight all-county first-team selection after earning second team as a junior. Dees’ perseverance paid off as a senior, with the Generals winning their first regional title since 2010. Dees made MacArthur go on offense and defense, averaging 14.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.4 steals.

Quincenia Jackson (So., C), MacArthur

Jackson was a force immediately, earning all-county second-team honors as a freshman. But Jackson became the Central State 8's most dominating presence in the middle this season, leading MacArthur to a school-record 24 wins and the H&R Macon County Player of the Year Award. Jackson averaged 16.5 points and 10.1 rebounds.

Ashlyn Sturdy (Jr., G), Tri-City/Sangamon Valley

Sturdy, who was first-team for the second straight season, followed up her county player of the year awards sophomore season with an equally dominating junior season. On her way to breaking the program’s career scoring and 3-point shooting records, Sturdy averaged 22.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 4.0 steals.

Kyla Jones (Jr., F), Eisenhower

Jones picked up where she left off as a freshman following a sophomore season lost to a knee injury. The 6-foot-1 Jones controlled the inside for the Panthers, averaging 11.4 points, 10.6 rebounds and 2.1 blocks while shooting 60 percent from the field.

Second team

Taya Davis (So., G), MacArthur

Davis was MacArthur’s floor general, averaging 7.9 points and 4.1 assists.

Allie Robinson (Jr., G), Maroa-Forsyth

The gritty Robinson averaged 11.6 points and 4.8 rebounds to lead the Trojans.

DaeLin Switzer (Sr., G/F), St. Teresa

Switzer was first or second team all four years of her high school career, averaging 11.8 points, 6 rebounds and 4.9 steals.

Claire Peters (Sr., G/F), St. Teresa

Peters was second team for the second year in a row with 12.3 points and 6 rebounds per game.

Emma Ewing (Jr., G), Mount Zion

The Braves’ balanced offense was led by Ewing with 10 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 2.5 steals.
