SALEM -- Effingham handily took home a regional title and junior Alex Brummer tied for the low round on Wednesday.
The Hearts beat Salem for the team title 350 to 371, with Brummer (78), Hope Collier (82), Kaylee Tonn (89) and freshman Keira Hirtzel (101) providing the four low rounds.
Effingham St. Anthony had their own pair of golfers make it through to sectionals, as Ava Wegman and Abbie Schmidt both advanced. Robinson's Leanna Ferguson and Teutopolis' Madison Magee both advanced individually as well.
Railers back in sectionals
SPRINGFIELD -- Thanks to a senior play, Lincoln advanced to sectionals once again.
Playing at The Rail, where they'll also play sectionals, the Railers had three seniors, including low scorer Rachel Lockenour (90) help take third place as a team.
Mount Pulaski senior Lauren Anderson also advanced as a top individual.
Stewart, McFarland make push

GIBSON CITY -- Warrensburg-Latham's Brooke Stewart was three shots off the leader on Wednesday, advancing individually with an 85 at Railside Golf Course.
Monticello's Kendyl McFarland, who's been to state both her freshman and sophomore years, shot an 89 to advance to sectionals.
Panthers' Birch advances
CHAMPAIGN -- Eisenhower senior Liz Birch shot a 91 at the University of Illinois Blue Course, the second-best individual score for the day.
Mattoon junior Natalie Zimmer advanced to sectionals as well, shooting a 96.
The pair will play at Weibring Golf Club in Bloomington on Monday.
