DECATUR — James Nathaniel “Nate” Johnson 20, of Decatur, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 11, 2013.
A service to celebrate Nate’s eternal life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 15th, 2013 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Decatur with Pastor Wray Offermann officiating. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park Cemetery, Harristown, IL. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the church.
Dawson & Wikoff North Chapel is assisting the family with services.

Nate was born March 3, 1993 in Decatur, IL the son of James Scott and Laura Suzanne (Spears) Johnson. He attended LSA and MacArthur High School. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Nate loved football and baseball and was an avid dog lover. Nate had a special wit and sense of humor and was loved by all who knew him.
Surviving is his parents: Scott and Laura Johnson of Decatur; brother: Coady Johnson of Decatur; sister: Carlee Johnson of Decatur; paternal grandparents: Robert and Norma Protko of Taylorville, IL; maternal grandparents: Stan and Linda Waddell of Decatur and Roger Spears of Horse Cave, KY many aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.
