SULLIVAN -- Mary S. Moore, 99, of Sullivan passed away at 9:45 a.m. Thursday January 11, 2018 in her residence.
Celebration of Life services will be 11:00 a.m. Sunday in the Elim Springs Church of Jesus Christ, Sullivan with Vanessa Patient officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Sunday in the church. Burial will be in the Greenhill Cemetery, Sullivan. Memorials are suggested to the Marrowbone Township Library or the Elizabeth Titus Memorial Library. Mary was born February 23, 1918 in Springfield the daughter of John and Bertha Van Winkle Sears. She was a homemaker and a member of the Elim Springs Church of Jesus Christ. She married David E. Moore on August 5, 1937 in Sullivan and he preceded her in death on April 23, 1996.
Surviving are her son, Douglas (Brenda) Moore; daughters Melody Moore, Carole Moore and Mary Lou (Jim) Poland; grandchildren Molly (Luke) Ames and Kalyn (Brennon) Baker and great granddaughter Evelyn Ames all of Sullivan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Clodagh Spencer, and a granddaughter Katy Poland.
