FORSYTH -- Aaron Kyle Stone “Kyle” of Alpharetta, GA, formerly of Forsyth, son of Dale and Rita Colee and Mark Stone passed away in his home on June 23, 2014.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 30, at First Christian Church. Visitation will be 3-7 P.M. Sunday, June 29, at the church. Burial will be private for family only. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home is handling the arrangments.
Kyle was born on September 2, 1981 in Decatur, IL. Kyle was a graduate of Maroa-Forsyth High School in 1999 and Millikin University in 2003. While attending Maroa-Forsyth, Kyle was an active member of the Varsity Soccer and Basketball teams. Beginning in college, Kyle assisted in coaching the Maroa-Forsyth Junior High Boys Basketball and Varsity Girls Basketball teams. His passion for sports, whether he was watching from the sidelines as a coach or a fan, or playing soccer, basketball, or golf was dynamic. His competitive spirit showed in every activity he participated in, even if he was just playing backyard baseball with the Rice’s and other neighbors. One of his favorite sports memories will always be sinking a hole-in-one at the Effingham Country Club Golf Course on May 22, 2011, surrounded by some of his best friends.
Kyle had worked at Archer Daniels Midland in Decatur, Gardner Denver in Quincy, IL, Midland States Bank in Effingham, IL, and most recently in Human Resources for Molnlycke Health Care, Inc. in Norcross, GA. He was an active member of North Point Community Church in Alpharetta, GA.
Kyle was a loving, loyal friend and always had a smile on his face. He had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed traveling, playing golf with his friends, going to concerts, watching Duke basketball and the Chicago Cubs, and spending time with his family and friends. Kyle was also a loving owner to his two dogs, Rocky and Lucy.
Kyle is survived by his parents: Dale and Rita Colee of Forsyth, IL and Mark Stone of Bloomington, IL, sisters: Lauren (Chad) Young of Decatur, Erica Colee of Forsyth, IL, Alyssa Colee of Forsyth, IL, Connor Stone of Sanibel, FL, and Kate Stone of Sanibel, FL. Grandparents: Merle and Kathaleen Kraft, Doris Ray, and Virginia Stone, godson Landon Lipka, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends who will miss him dearly.
Preceding Kyle in death are his grandfathers James Canaday, Robert Stone, and Carl Ray, aunts Cathy Ashby, Barb Crowder, uncles Richard Canaday, Larry Crowder, and Gilbert Moomey.
Whether you knew him as Kyle, Bubba, Stoney, AK, or Peyton Manning (wink wink), you will miss his infectious smile and the mischievous twinkle in his eyes. We miss you already and love you with all of our hearts.
The family requests memorial gifts to PawPrint Ministries, where funds will be used to purchase a Comfort Dog for the community and wounded warriors, or the Kyle Stone Memorial Scholarship Fund through the Maroa-Forsyth M Club to benefit high school athletes.
