Bethanie Jane Moss and Charles Alexander Platt III were married 3:30 p.m. Oct. 3, in Mount Zion Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Joel Stevenor officiating.
Gloria and William Moss of Mount Zion are parents of the bride. Her grandparents are George and Alice Bray and Melva Moss.
Mary Ann and Charles Platt Jr. of Decatur are parents of the bridegroom. His grandmother is Mary Elizabeth Platt.
Co-maids of honor were Caroline Moss and Kristine Moss. Bridal attendants were Jessica Chouinard, Dana Perry, Julie Boline. Flower girl was Charli Tennison. Jennifer Platt was guest book attendant.
Best man was Tyson Arthur. Bridegroom attendants were Mark Highcock, David Braun, Chad Karecki and Zak Kistenfeger. Ushers were Peter Bowman, Evan Glynn and Christopher Perry. Ring bearer was Jaxon Bowman.
Bride wore a floor-length skirt of ivory tulle and lace appliques, with a lace and beaded bodice, straps and back. Bridal attendants wore a floor length apple green chiffon dress with embellished illusion neckline.
Natalie Vanderspeigel was reader. Nichole Lundgren was wedding coordinator. T.J. Henderson was soloist, and sang James Taylor’s “Something in the Way She Moves.” Wedding colors were apple green and charcoal gray with tree and paper lantern accents. Floral selection was pink and white roses, hydrangeas and green button mums, with hops plants in the boutonnieres.
The bride is a graduate of Mount Zion High School and Bradley University. She is a research chemist at Archer, Daniels, Midland Co.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Mount Zion High School and attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a delivery driver in Bloomington.
Reception was held in a tent at the Platt residence.
After a honeymoon trip to Seattle, Wash., the couple resides in Mount Zion.
