FORSYTH — McAlister's Deli is scheduled to open at 10:30 a.m. Monday at 850 S. Route 51 in Forsyth, the company said Thursday.
The restaurant is offering one free tea a week for a year to the first 100 guests in line on opening day.
The chain, founded in 1989, is known for sandwiches, salads, giant stuffed potatoes and sweet tea. The restaurant also offers catering options, including breakfast, snacks, spud bars, salads, sandwich trays, box lunches and desserts.
“We are excited to expand our presence and build lasting relationships in the Forsyth community,” franchisee Matthew Fox said in a statement. “We look forward to opening the doors and serving our guests a robust and flavorful menu of McAlister’s favorites along with easy, on-the-go order pickup, app-based ordering and a robust rewards program.”
Construction on the 4,000-square-foot building began in August. The site includes a 600-square-foot outdoor patio seating area and drive-thru service.
Hours will be 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
The closest McAlister’s are in Springfield, Champaign and Bloomington. The company also is building a location in a former Lone Star Steakhouse in Effingham.
