DECATUR — A hike underneath a full moon is being offered at Fort Daniel Conservation Area.

The hike will be naturalist-guided through the Fort Daniel forest and will only be lit by the moon, which will be in full view that night. Hikers are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes and dress for the outdoors.

All ages can participate in the hike on Saturday, Sept. 14, from 8 to 10 p.m. It will cost $2 to participate and pre-registration is required by noon on Friday, Sept. 13. Register at maconcountyconservation.org

Fort Daniel Conservation Area is at 4975 Fort Daniel Road. It is 15 minutes east of downtown Decatur.
