Zoo becomes 'Wildlife Wonderland'

ZOO-RIFFIC: Jordan Morey of Decatur along with Kyle and Morgan Leckrone admire the lighting of "Wildlife Wonderland" at Scovill Zoo. Over 65,000 lights make up this years display, which was created by Marty Bayless. The display can be seen nightly through Jan. 1.

DECATUR – Scovill Zoo is seeking donations for the animals for Christmas.

Examples include king-size pillow cases for the snakes and lizards, new cotton mop heads and whole nuts for the macaw, fruit and grain granola bars for the tufted deer, a new plush dog bed for the sloth, and unsweetened cereals for the wallabys, camels and monkeys.

A complete wish list is at Donations can be dropped off at the zoo office, 71 S. Country Club Road,  from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday.
