DECATUR — Supporters of the Boys & Girls Club of Decatur, Inc. on Thursday celebrated its new executive director, Shamika Bond.
Bond's appointment was a highlight of the club's 47th annual banquet, held at the Decatur Club.
An employee of the club for six years, Bond previously worked as education coordinator and director of resource development. She said the motto she's bringing to the job is, "Whatever it takes."
