Law enforcement is on the scene of North Glasgow Road.

WARRENSBURG — Law enforcement agencies gathered near rural Warrensburg on Tuesday were looking for the remains of a woman who went missing in Florida in 1992, according to the Macon County Sheriff's Office.

After an extensive search, no human remains were found, said Sgt. Roger Pope of the sheriff's office.

He said detectives teamed up with Illinois State Police to search in the 8800 block of North Glasgow Road, after receiving information that human remains may be located on the property.

Pope said Pamela J. Ray, then 36, went missing out of Panama City Beach, Florida, after arriving there on vacation with her children in August 1992. Pope did not disclose what information led police to search the area.

Ray's family and the Macon County Sheriff's Office are seeking the public's help, Pope said. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the sheriff's office at 217-424-0867.
