DECATUR — A food service manager at Decatur Correctional Center pleading not guilty to multiple counts of sexual misconduct appeared in court Thursday and was told more charges had been filed against him.

Michael S. Williams, 49, of Auburn, was arraigned on eight additional counts of official misconduct/obstructing a criminal investigation.

Those charges were added to his existing docket alleging 25 counts of custodial sexual misconduct.

Williams, defended by Monroe McWard, waived formal arraignment in Macon County Circuit Court and a pretrial hearing was scheduled for Oct. 30. Williams remains free on $200,000 bond.
