TAYLORVILLE — A 45-year-old Taylorville man was arrested Wednesday morning on child pornography charges after his house was raided by police. 

Officers found multiple computers, hard drives, tablets, phones and other storage devices containing many photographs and videos of child porn in the man's home, Taylorville police said. 

The suspect was arrested and taken to the Christian County Correctional Center, where he is being held in lieu of $750,000 bond. He faces preliminary charges of possession of child pornography, distribution of child pornography and reproduction of child pornography, all of which are subject to review by the Christian County State's Attorney's Office.

Taylorville police in a statement said this is an ongoing investigation with the Christian County State's Attorney's Office and the Illinois Attorney General's Office.
