DECATUR — Police and the coroner’s office are investigating the deaths of a man and a woman whose bodies were found in a Decatur car repair shop where the two had been staying.

Beau W. Ford, 34, and Jacinda M. Jiles, 30, were pronounced dead at 2:01 a.m. Saturday in a back room of the shop in the 900 block of West Eldorado Street, according to Macon County Coroner Michael E. Day.

In a news release, Day said autopsies were carried out on both bodies the same day they were discovered and there was “no injury and no trauma detected in either person."

“The cause of death remains classified as undetermined pending completion of toxicology testing. Decatur Police are investigating this tragic situation,” Day said.

Decatur police detective Sgt. Steve Carroll said Saturday the bodies were found after police executed search warrants. Police interviewed witnesses, and Carroll indicated no foul play was suspected in their deaths.
