MOUNT ZION — A 36-year-old Decatur man was arrested Sunday in Mount Zion after being found with a vehicle reported stolen in Sullivan in late August, police said.

A Mount Zion police officer was driving behind a black Chevy Impala around 2:15 p.m. at North Drive and Illinois 121, Lt. Mike Foster said. The officer ran the registration and discovered the car was reported stolen in Sullivan on Aug. 26.

Foster said the suspect told police he bought the vehicle from a friend. The man was arrested and booked in the Macon County Jail.
