DECATUR — A 23-year-old Decatur man faces preliminary charges including aggravated criminal sexual assault and aggravated unlawful restraint after a woman told police he raped her and threatened her with a knife.
A signed affidavit said the victim told police that Blake A. Lunardi came to her residence on the northeastern part of the city at about 3:51 a.m. Sunday. The woman said she and Lunardi talked for about 20 minutes before he became upset and started punching her in the face, the affidavit said.
She said Lunardi then grabbed a knife from the kitchen, put it near her torso and ordered her to go to the bathroom, the court document said. The affidavit said the woman told police that she was afraid that Lunardi was going to stab her.
After punching several pictures and decorations on the house's hallway walls, Lunardi took the woman into the bathroom and tore her clothes off, telling her that if he would slit her throat and then kill himself if she didn't go to the bedroom, the affidavit said.
They went to the bedroom and Lunardi raped the woman for several minutes — ignoring her numerous verbal cues to stop, according to authorities.
When the woman broke free, Lunardi threw a decorative block at her head, causing it to bleed, the affidavit said. Lunardi chased the woman as she ran into the front room, threw her down onto the floor and raped her again for about 30 minutes, the affidavit said.

The woman said Lunardi also threw her $600 cell phone against the wall and broke it, the affidavit said. Eventually, he went into the bedroom and the woman ran out of the house and called the police from a neighbor's home, the affidavit said.
When police arrived, officers noticed several broken items and blood inside of the home, the affidavit said. The woman's face was also red and she had a small cut above her hairline, the affidavit said.
Lunardi faces preliminary charges of aggravated criminal sexual assault, aggravated unlawful restraint, domestic battery, aggravated battery, aggravated assault and criminal damage to property of $500. Preliminary charges are subject to review by the Macon County State's Attorney's Office.
Lunardi was held in the Macon County Jail Monday on $200,000 bond. He is scheduled to be arraigned in court on Sept. 7.
