Officers saw a large bruise on the child's bottom consistent with the shape of a paddle, the sworn affidavit said.

The 19-year-old was arrested on preliminary charges of aggravated battery to a child and domestic battery, which are subject to review by the Macon County State's Attorney's Office. He is being held in lieu of $25,000 bond.
