DECATUR — Police said a Decatur man suffered a broken arm Wednesday morning when he was shot while walking in the 1400 block of East Hickory Street.
Detective Sgt. Steve Carroll said witnesses described gunfire coming from a blue SUV at 10:41 a.m.
“The Decatur resident, age 26, was shot in the upper left arm and it actually broke the bone,” added Carroll. “And there were a couple of cars in the area that received some damage from gunfire.”
Carroll said police had interviewed the victim and witnesses and the investigation was continuing.
