DECATUR — A 16-year-old male was treated at a Decatur hospital Monday night for a gunshot wound to the foot, police said.
“He showed up at HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital at 8:40 p.m. and said the shooting had occurred in the area of South 16th and East Cantrell streets,” said detective Sgt. Steve Carroll with the Decatur police. “He thought someone had shot at him from a vehicle, and he was hit in the left foot between the big toe and the second toe.”
Carroll said the police have no suspect information, and the shooting remained under investigation.
