DECATUR — Police are still investigating the shooting of an 18-year-old Decatur man south of downtown on Thursday night.
Sgt. Steve Carroll said the victim’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. No suspects have been identified, he said Friday afternoon.
The shooting took place near South Franklin and East Decatur Streets shortly before 10 p.m., Carroll said. Police searched the area for about an hour and a half Thursday night, then went back for another hour Friday morning.
They did find evidence of a shooting, he said.
