DECATUR — Police said a Decatur woman is trying to figure out when and where her van stopped a bullet.

The 44-year-old driver lives in the 1300 block of East Moore Street and called police Saturday afternoon when she noticed a bullet hole through the hood. Sgt. Timothy Maxwell said patrol officers found the bullet had gone through and penetrated the vehicle’s firewall, but could not locate the bullet itself.

The driver said she only drives the van between her home and her job on 1st Drive and doesn’t know where the vehicle was hit. She said the last time she noticed it didn’t have a bullet hole was Nov. 11.
