A still of surveillance footage at the P & G QuickStop in Blue Mound, where police say two men broke in and stole several bottles of alcohol early Monday.

BLUE MOUND — Decatur police are asking for the public's help in identifying two suspects who stole several bottles of alcohol from a Blue Mound convenience store on early Monday morning.

Officer George Kestner said in a statement Wednesday that the burglary was named the department's Crime of the Week. Kestner said the incident happened sometime between 3:07 a.m. and 3:14 a.m. early Monday at Blue Mound's P & G Quick Stop, located at 202 N. Railroad Ave.

Surveillance video at the convenience store showed two white males breaking in and fleeing the store with the stolen alcohol loaded on a dolly, Kestner said.

Anyone with information about the burglary or the suspects involved is encouraged to call CrimeStoppers at 217 423-8477.

Kestner said calls to CrimeStoppers can be made anonymously, and rewards of $500 or more will be paid for any information that leads to an arrest for the Crime of the Week.
