DECATUR – A 39-year-old Decatur man was charged in Macon County Court with nine felony sex offenses, including four Class X counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, for allegedly assaulting a girl over a period of several years, beginning when she was younger than 11.
Undra Ingram was arrested Dec. 4 after the victim told a forensic interviewer at the Macon County Child Advocacy Center about the abuse, which continued until early this month.
The victim, who remains younger than the legal age of consent of 17 in Illinois, said that during the the most recent incident Ingram committed several sex acts with her after fondling her while she showered.
Recently, she has been sexually assaulted by him on a regular basis, the victim said during the interview, said an affidavit by Decatur police detective James Wrigley.
The victim reported that the abuse began several years ago, when he had her perform a sex act on him. His sexual assaults continued during her adolescent years.
He would order her to wear specific clothes such as stockings, a specific shirt and nothing else, the affidavit said.
The charges of predatory criminal sex assault of a child under 13 years old carry a penalty of six to 60 years in prison.
Ingram was also charged with two counts of criminal sexual assault, a Class 1 felony, and three counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, a Class 2 crime.
After Ingram was booked into the Macon County Jail, he posted $3,000 cash bail and was released Dec. 5. As a condition of his bond, he was ordered to stay away from the victim and not go to her home.
He is due in circuit court for his arraignment Jan. 6.
