Sheriff: Pana man arrested on federal warrant for meth

PANA — Michael Williams, 49, of Pana was arrested Friday morning on a federal warrant charging him with unlawful distribution of methamphetamine, Christian County Sheriff Bruce Kettlelkamp said.

The Drug Enforcement Administration, Illinois State Police SWAT Team, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, Central Illinois Enforcement Group and officers from Pana Police Department and Christian County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at Williams' home on Pana Lake at 5:45 a.m. Friday, according to Kettelkamp.

Williams was in custody pending a hearing on Monday, Kettelkamp said. The case remained under investigation with the U.S. Attorney's Office Central District of Illinois and law enforcement agencies.
