DECATUR —A 37-year-old woman is wanted by Decatur police after she burst into her ex-boyfriend's home, pepper sprayed him and his girlfriend, and ran off with his phone, Sgt. Chris Copeland said.

Copeland said officers were sent to the 300 block of North 18th Street at 11:42 a.m. Wednesday regarding a caller telling police his ex-girlfriend and mother of his child showed up uninvited and entered his residence.

The man told police she tried to get inside through a window but was unsuccessful and then barged through the door when he went to see. The woman then pepper sprayed the ex-boyfriend and his girlfriend and stole the man's iPhone and left, police said.

Both had red, teary eyes when officers arrived, and there was still pepper spray in the air, Copeland said. 

The pair declined medical attention and the woman is currently wanted on multiple charges, Copeland said. The case is still under investigation.
