DECATUR – Decatur-Macon County Opportunities Corporation is holding basic computer classes for low-income adults beginning Monday, Feb. 25, 2019.
The classes will teach keyboarding, computer basics, the Internet, Windows 10, Microsoft Word and Excel. Certificates of achievement will be issued to those completing the training.
Classes will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays for four weeks through Wed., March 20, at the DMCOC offices, 1122 E. Marietta St., Decatur.
There is no charge for the training, but participants must meet income eligibility guidelines based on family size. For criteria and to apply, call (217) 428-0155. Enrollment will be on a first come - first served basis. Funding for the classes is provided by the Community Services Block Grant.
