1979: A team of Clydesdale horses, raised by Berry Farrell and family of Lake City and St. Louis, brought up the rear of the Mount Zion Christmas parade. The horses are used in Anheuser-Busch Brewing Co. commercials.

1987: Shane Mendenhall, 7, pulls up at third base. Shane plays on one of six boys baseball divisions in Mount Zion which is affiliated with the PONY organization.

1984: Natalie Swartz of Springfield had an eye on Old Glory at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial rally in Mount Zion.

1991: Mount Zion's Travis Foreman slides safely past Eisenhower second baseman Adam Creason, who was attempting to tag Foreman out at second base. Mount Zion won the game 10-6.

1991: Mount Zion second baseman Brad Chunn, left, was unable to field the throw as Eisenhower's Aaron Turner (22) stole second. Chunn hit a grand slam and Chris Hoard added a solo homer to boost Mount Zion to a 10-6 victory.
