DECATUR— Showers and thunderstorms this weekend will bring a little over 2 inches of rain to the region, according to the National Weather Service at Lincoln.

A low temperature of 63 degrees and showers are expected tonight and will carry into Saturday morning, the weather service said. Saturday's expected high temperature for Decatur is 81 degrees, with wind gusts up to 26 mph, the weather service said. 

But showers and storms don't stop there. The National Weather Service at Lincoln said storms are likely Saturday night, Sunday and Sunday night. The highest temperature for the weekend will peak to 84 degrees Sunday, the weather service said.

A cold front will come through the region Sunday, bringing periodic thunderstorms and showers, the weather service said. Temperatures will drop to 64 degrees that night.
