DECATUR – Macon County Environmental Management is accepting appointments for a pop-up electronics recycling collection to be held on Tuesday, Dec. 11.
Unwanted electronics, such as TVs, entertainment devices and computer equipment, will be collected during the event. Most electronic items will be accepted free except for TVs and monitors, which will cost $10 each.
Residents can register for an appointment on-line at www.MaconGreen.com or by calling (217) 425-4505. The collection event will be held in the parking lot of the Macon County Environmental Management Recycling Center, 1750 N. 21st St. in Decatur.
Up to ten consumer entertainment and home office electronic items will be accepted from each confirmed registrant, including: televisions/monitors (limit of 3 with pre-payment of $10 each), computers, laptops, printers, control boxes, media players, game consoles, cables and controllers.
