The tulips and windmills of the Netherlands are famous for their vibrance and iconic imagery. Last month, a group of 110 travelers from the Decatur area got to witness the wonders firsthand during a visit to the Netherlands.
The river cruise, booked through Best Trips Ever in Decatur, included a stop at Keukenhof in Holland. Also known as the Garden of Europe, the property is said to feature seven million flower bulbs over 79 acres. The trip, from April 9 to 19, came at an opportune time for flower-viewing in the Netherlands.
“It was just one of those things that you couldn’t explain,” said Linda Roberts, owner of the travel agency, describing the sights. So we’ll let the pictures, provided by Roberts, do the talking.
