37-year-old Mount Zion woman killed in Florida vehicle crash

  • 0

A 37-year-old Mount Zion woman died Thursday night in a two-vehicle crash in Citrus County, Florida.

The Citrus County Chronicle reported that Kimberly Perry was a passenger in a vehicle that was involved in a nearly head-on collision around 8 p.m. The 40-year-old driver of the car and the 65-year-old driver of the other vehicle, both men from Citrus County, were airlifted to a hospital to be treated for serious, traumatic injuries.

The 65-year-old man failed to negotiate a curve and drove into the path of the vehicle containing Perry, the newspaper said, citing a report from the Florida Highway Patrol. Police are investigating whether he was driving under the influence of alcohol, and charges are pending, the newspaper said.
