DECATUR — Nineteen Decatur firefighters fought a late-night garage fire Friday at 2434 E. Prairie Ave.

Firefighters arrived to the scene at 11:53 p.m., and the garage behind a home was fully involved in fire, the department said in a statement. The fire was "threatening exposures" of nearby homes and garages.

The department said firefighters had the blaze quickly under control, and all fire companies left the scene by 2:10 a.m.

Battalion Chief Wade Watson confirmed no one was injured.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Decatur Fire Department Investigations Bureau.
