DECATUR — No injuries were reported after police responded to a report of people jumping off of the bridge on East Lost Bridge Road and into Lake Decatur Tuesday.

Lt. Shannon Seal said police were contacted by a passerby who had seen someone jump into the lake and was worried that they were in emotional distress.

Police and the fire department investigated the scene and did not find any people in the water or any evidence that someone had jumped, she said.

Seal said police interviewed people in the area and were told that a group of about three young men were appeared to be "horsing around" the bridge and swimming in the lake.
