DECATUR — Police said no injuries were reported Tuesday night after a two-vehicle crash at of East Eldorado Street and North Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
Police Sgt. Shawn Guenther said first responders were called to the scene at about 7:30 p.m. A Chrysler four-door sedan was driving north on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and attempted to turn left onto Eldorado on a yellow light as a Honda sport-utility vehicle headed southbound on Martin Luther King Jr.
Guenther said the two vehicles collided in the intersection when the SUV struck the right front passenger side of the sedan.
Police, fire and Decatur Ambulance Service responded to the crash. Westbound traffic on Eldorado was reduced to one lane as police worked the scene. Guenther said officers cleared the area at about 8:45 p.m.
The driver of the Chrysler sedan was cited for failure to yield at an intersection, Guenther said. Both of the vehicles involved were towed from the scene.
