TAYLORVILLE — A Nokomis teen was killed Thursday in a two-vehicle crash, the Christian County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.

Eighteen-year-old Camren M. Neisler was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, on Christian County Highway 1 a quarter mile south of Township Road 1000, by Christian County Coroner Amy Winnans.

Neisler was traveling north on County Highway 1 in a 2010 Pontiac, the sheriff's office said. His vehicle crossed the center line and struck a 2010 GMC pickup truck and trailer driven by 29-year-old Zachary D. Rhodes of Taylorville, who was driving south, the sheriff's office said.

The police were called to the scene at 1:13 p.m. The Taylorville Fire Department, ambulance and sheriff's office responded.

The accident is under investigation by the Christian County Sheriff's Office, Christian County Coroner's Office and the Illinois State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit.
