DECATUR — A 67-year-old man told officers he was riding his bike near Main Street and Harrison Avenue in Decatur when two juveniles attacked him Monday afternoon, police say.

Sgt. Steve Carroll said officers arrived around 2 p.m. to the 100 block of East Harrison Avenue and the victim told police he passed by two boys who turned around and followed him.

The man told officers one of the suspects pushed him off his bike, and both boys kicked, struck and threw rocks at him, Carroll said. A nearby resident yelled at the suspects and they ran away, police said.

The incident is under investigation by the Decatur Police Department.
